Kings Park is a small, mostly residential pocket of Blacktown, cut out of neighbouring Marayong in 1987. The suburb keeps to clear boundaries: the Richmond rail line to the west, the Westlink M7 to the north, Sunnyholt Road to the east and Breakfast Creek to the south. There’s no shopping strip or school inside Kings Park itself, so residents head to Marayong, Kings Langley or Blacktown CBD for the bigger shops and schools.

Most of the housing went up in that original 1980s and 90s build-out, so the streets are lined with older brick veneer homes on established blocks rather than new estates. That means we see a steady run of kitchen and bathroom updates, garage and shed clean-outs and the odd bigger renovation, rather than large-scale new builds. Along the creek corridors there are a few local reserves, including a large bushy reserve with sweeping Blue Mountains views and a big off-leash area, plus a fenced dog park, so we also pick up the occasional garden clean-up bin for residents backing onto that green space.
